We're independent consultants who share office space on Front Street in Traverse City, Michigan. Our office is on the second floor. Hence, Second Front. This blog is a place for us to share our mutual affection for fine beverages, our curiosity about our community and our clients, and the stories of people who inspire us.
Favorite a.m. beverage: A tall glass of cold tap water, followed by two or three cups of black tea with whole milk. Brunch favorite: Bloody Mary with all the fixin's.
Favorite p.m. beverage: Vodka tonic, or a whiskey on the rocks. Local craft beer fan with a preference for Stouts, Kolsches and ESBs.
Day job: President & Principal of Parallel Solutions LLC
Superpowers: Pays attention. Sees connections in everything. Moves from vision to plan to action. Relentless pragmatic optimist. Organizes things (projects, people, processes, partnerships, spice drawers, bookshelves). Speed reader. Grace under pressure. Can fly in her dreams.
Flaws: Snorts when she laughs, and her whole body shakes. It's ridiculous, really. Too short to reach the top shelf at the grocery store. Limited hand-eye coordination. Consistently misspells "correspondence".
Vulnerability: Can't stand the smell of bananas when someone else is eating them. They affect her like kryptonite. (Weirdly, enjoys eating bananas.)
Aspirations: Keep listening. Keep learning. Keep creating.
